Shenley Lane, Northfield closure

On Friday 17th and Saturday 18th July 2026, from 7pm to 5am, Shenley Lane will be closed between Sir Herbert Austin Way and Long Nuke Road for highway works. During this time, services 48 & X20 will be diverted.

Service 48

Heading towards West Bromwich

Buses will continue along Bristol Road South, pass the junction with Bell Lane, continue Bristol Road South, left Middle Park Road, second exit Castle Road, second exit Weoley Park Road, left Gregory Avenue, and u-turn at Marston Road roundabout, and return Gregory Avenue to rejoin the normal line of route.

Heading towards Northfield

Buses will follow the normal line of route.

Service X20

Heading towards Birmingham

Buses will continue along Bristol Road South, pass the junction with Bell Lane, continue Bristol Road South, left Middle Park Road, and continue Middle Park Road to rejoin the normal line of route after the junction with Swarthmore Road.

Heading from Birmingham

Buses will follow the normal line of route.
