Key Features of our Swift Cards:

Season Tickets

  • You don't get issued with a paper ticket, your smartcard is your ticket! So you need to place it on the scanner every time you get on the bus.
  • You can see when your pass is due to expire, when you hold it on the scanner. As soon as the screen goes green (or red if it's not valid for that journey) it will show you the expiry date. You can also download the Swift App (for Android mobiles and tablets only), when you hold the card to the back of the device, it will show you it's validity.

e-Daysavers

  • You don't get issued with a paper ticket, your smartcard is your ticket! so you need to place it on the scanner every time you get on the bus.
  • When you place the card on the scanner, it will activate a daysaver. You can use your card for the rest of the day on our buses and it will only deduct one daysaver for the rest of the day.
  • You can see how many daysavers you have left on your card when you hold it on the scanner. As soon as the screen goes green (or red if the smartcard isn't valid for that journey) it will show you how many daysavers are left on the card. You can also download the Swift App (for Android mobiles and tablets only), when you hold the card to the back of the device, it will show you how many daysavers are left on it.

Pay As You Go

  • You can buy any of our tickets available on bus, using PAYG. You'll be issued with a paper ticket once you've paid for the ticket using the credit on your card.
  • If you select the 'auto top up' setting when you buy the card, your card will automatically be topped up when you go below a certain amount - that way, you will always have a way to pay for your bus travel.
  • You can see how much money is left on your card when you hold it on the scanner. It will also be printed out onto the ticket that you will get. You can also download the Swift App (for Android mobiles and tablets only), when you hold the card to the back of the device, it will show you how much money is left on the card.
