FREE 10 day summer festival in Centenary Square.
To celebrate the first anniversary of the Commonwealth games and its legacy, Birmingham is hosting Festival 23. A 10 day FREE summer festival from Friday 28th July – Sunday 6th August in Centenary Square, welcoming audiences, artists, local communities and volunteers.
A jam packed daily lineup that offers something for all ages and interests. The whole event will reflect the diversity of the city, coming together to watch, listen, relax, dance and play. There will be daily appearances from the iconic Commonwealth mascot, Perry who will introduce the games to get everyone involved in the fun.
Crowds can also enjoy back to back performances both live and on screen which will include the Made In Brum strand of locally commissioned projects. At 6pm every evening there will be a power hour which will include fun workouts and easy to follow classes.
If you’re heading through Centenary Square on an evening after work or to meet up with friends for dinner, every evening there's a Twilight Takeover which will feature new partnerships, collectives and artists who will each day bring the festival to a close.
The start of the summer holidays is set to be one of the best, another bold showcase of Birmingham’s talent, character and reputation as a world-class destination for major events.
