Thanks to the government's Great British Summer Savings scheme, children aged 5-15 can enjoy free bus travel this August on all our bus services across the West Midlands.
Just hop on board and ask your driver for the "free summer offer." A paper ticket will be issued for each child. This ticket will be valid for unlimited adventures for the whole month!
It's time to get the family together and start exploring. Whether you are hunting for hidden gems or off to explore places you've never visited before, your next adventure is just a bus ride away.
What are the rules around the Summer bus fare offer?
Children aged 5-15 can travel for free on our services. Those aged under 11 should be accompanied by a paying customer aged 16 or over.
They must ask the driver for the free summer offer. They will be issued a paper ticket that will be valid for the whole month.
They can travel at any time of the day.
What about 16-18 year olds?
16-18 year olds must continue to pay for a child ticket when presenting a valid 16-18 card.
If they do not have a 16-18 card, they must buy an adult ticket.
What happens if my child loses their ticket?
They can ask for another one from the driver, next time they board the bus.
Is the offer valid on all bus operators?
Not all operators are taking part in the scheme. Please check with your local operator before travelling.
Can I get a refund on a ticket I have already bought for my child?
No, we will not be issuing refunds on tickets bought during the offer.
I pay for my child’s ticket via Direct Debit, should I cancel this?
No. The child Direct Debit scheme has a two free month benefit, after you have made 10 consecutive payments. By cancelling the Direct Debit, you will lose the two free months of the scheme.
