Discover Dudley

Discover what Dudley has to offer this weekend with exclusive offers from Dudley borough attractions, all accessible by bus.

Dudley libraries

Start your weekend at one of the libraries across the region. Activities will include a Discover Dudley Library Quiz for two age groups (under 12s and over 12s) based around visitor attractions close to the 13 libraries, home library service and archives. There will be two giant Easter eggs as prizes.

If you’re feeling crafty many of the libraries will be delivering a craft activity session or coffee mornings/tea afternoons for their visitors. Find your local library and what they have planned over at the Dudley Libraries website

Dudley Zoo and Castle

Dudley Zoo and Castle is a great family day out. Home to over 1300 animals including Sumatran tigers, orangutans and the walk through Lemur wood. Then at the top of the zoo's circular route you can see the famous Dudley castle too. This weekend only one person (adult or child) can visit for the reduced admission of £10.50!

Black Country Living Museum

This award-winning open air Black Country Living Museum is offering 15 months of membership for the price of 12 to people who present their Discover Dudley voucher during the weekend. Immerse yourself into the heart of one of Britain's very first industrialised landscapes and with over forty carefully reconstructed shops, houses and industrial areas this day out is both fun and educational. Don’t forget to stop by Hobbs chippie for their famous fish and chips (yum!).

Dudley Canal and Caverns

Take a visit to Dudley Canal and Caverns to discover a magical underground world into tunnels that are hundreds of years old. This weekend only you can claim one free child place when accompanied by one full paying adult before 12pm!

Stourbridge Glass Museum and Red House Glass cone

This relatively new museum space is a fantastic showcase of the history of the glass industry in the Black country. Learn about the origins of glass making and the production methods used through animations and informative films, then take a look at the tools used. Watch one of the daily demonstrations from Allister Malcolms Hot Shop and you will see there is plenty to be amazed by. Take a walk upstairs to explore the Stourbridge Glass Collection, featuring pieces that date back 400 years! Digital interactive screens let you get creative and you can even design your very own cameo glass before emailing it to yourself or a friend. Children go free to Stourbridge Glass Museum this weekend.

After your visit to Stourbridge Glass Museum, cross over the road to the famous Red House Glass Cone, taking a walk around the iconic glass cone, the tearooms and the independent studios. With every £10 spend in the gift shop this Discover Dudley weekend you will get a Free Red House Glass Cone pin badge.
