Family days out that will get your little ones moving this half term!

It’s the first half term of the year and after the last few I’m sure you want to get out and enjoy time with the kids.

So, the only thing to decide now is where to go!

Here’s a round up of what’s on, across the National Express West Midlands bus routes:

Wolf Mountain Activity Centre, Wolverhampton:

Looking for a bit of adventure? This is your place. They have activities like archery, rock climbing, abseiling and mountain biking. They have some great family activity taster sessions from £25. Prices vary depending on what you book.

Wren’s Nest National Nature Reserve, Dudley:

One of the British Isles most notable geological locations. Join one of the wardens on a guided walk around the Nature Reserve, hunt the Dudley Bug and maybe even find your own fossil. Free entry.

The Core Theatre, Solihull:

Catch a family friendly show from The People’s Theatre Company. I Spy With My Little Eye is based on a new picture book by Steven Lee. Aimed at 2 – 6 year olds with tickets starting from £9. They also have a showing of The PAW Patrol Movie on Thursday 24 February 2pm where all tickets are only £5 each.

Cadbury World, Birmingham:

Chocolate lovers, listen up! Book a self guided tour, go on a 4D chocolate adventure, see how the chocolate is made and have a go yourself, travel to Europe and see the famous gorilla playing the drums. They have Freddo’s Circus throughout February too where Freddo the Frog & Richie Ringmaster will entertain you in the Big Top.

Pre booking is essential. You could even add chocolate afternoon tea to your booking. Book your chocolatier experience now!

Sealife Centre, Birmingham:

Home to the UK’s only 360 Ocean Tunnel, Sealife Centre boasts 11 interactive themed zones to explore. They even have a touch pool. Tickets are slightly cheaper if you pre book online and if you wanted to visit LegoLand Discovery Centre on the same day, you can get a multi attraction pass to save more money.

Rush Trampoline Park, Birmingham:

If you need somewhere to wear the kids out, then Rush Trampoline Park is your pal and I bet you’ll have fun here too. From as little as £4.25 - £13.50, you can bounce your way around the tumble lanes, assault course, foam pit and more. There’s a café there too which sells food and drink.

Coventry Transport Museum – Family Museum Engineers event, Coventry:

Play sessions, designed for the whole family that encourage engineering skills, problem solving, imagination and a lot of fun in an open ended play environment. Tickets are £8 each (plus a booking fee).

Allotment Tots, Coventry:

If your little ones love the outdoors, give Allotment Tots a go. They have sessions suitable for 18 months to 11 years old in their Zen Community Garden for only £6. Everyone can get involved in planting, digging, watering and even go on a bug hunt. Don’t forget to dress for the weather as it’s all outside.
