Midlands Arts Centre has an incredible season of events lined up this season that you can get to by bus! Whether you’re ready to test your green fingers at the annual Big Green Weekender or fancy a trick or two at Morgan and West’s Massive Magic Show For Kids – there are lots of family-friendly events for everyone to get stuck in. Don’t miss out!
Join the free Autin Dance Theatre: Parade – The Giant Wheel on Saturday 2 September. Witness the gravity-defying stunts of the performing cast as they power a 12-foot Giant Wheel in a unique blend of contemporary dance, music and storytelling in Cannon Hill Park.
Experience an atmospheric global journey in Michael Pinsky: Pollutions Pods at Edgbaston Stadium Piazza from Thursday 14 to Sunday 24 September. These five interconnected pods form miniature biomes of Norway, London, New Delhi, San Paulo and Beijing as part of MAC’s Art, Nature & Wellbeing Season. (Please be advised that there are no health risks to visitors).
Come along to MAC’s Big Green Weekender on Saturday 16 & Sunday 17 September! A free, family-friendly festival celebrating sustainability through creative workshops, short films, inspiring talks, live music and more as part of the Art, Nature and Wellbeing Season. Events take place throughout MAC and surrounding Cannon Hill Park.
On Sunday 1 October, Meet Astrid Lindgren’s Pippi Longstocking – an engaging storytelling performance by nine-year-old Pippi as he narrates her journey to becoming ‘the strongest girl in the world’ in her own words. Expect mischief, laughter and audience interaction!
Prepare to be amazed! After their huge success last year, MAC presents Morgan and West’s Massive Magic Show For Kids on Tuesday 8 October, complete with their trademark wit, whimsy and wall-to-wall silliness in this an hour of explosive, non-stop magical fun for all ages.
