RSPB Sandwell Valley
An urban green space practically in peoples back gardens, RSPB Sandwell Valley in Great Barr is full of wildlife for nature loving explorers. Discover a whole array of bird and insect species and aquatic wildlife. This is really a great spot for inquisitive explorers and wildlife lovers.
Wrens Nest Nature Reserve
Known as one of the most important geological locations in Britain, Wrens Nest in Dudley is a great place to hunt for creepy crawlies, spending time wildlife spotting and searching for fossils.
Himley Hall
Discover the grounds of the former Earl of Dudley’s estate - Pack a picnic, or grab a takeaway from The Terrace Hatch and eat like an earl in front of the boating lake. Himley Hall Park in Himley is a lovely green space for a new adventure.
Sheldon Country park
With over 300 acres of grasslands and wetlands and mature woodland, a farm and playground, Sheldon Country Park is glorious for an escape from city living.
Enjoy plane spotting? Birmingham International Airport borders the park, which makes it a perfect spot for seeing aeroplanes up close.
Fibbersley Local Nature Reserve
One of Walsall's finest wetlands sites, Fibbersley Nature Reserve is home to a network of pools and you can discover a variety of aquatic life all within one space!
Wolverhampton locks walking trail
Discover the main locks of Wolverhampton with Wolverhampton City Council’s locks walking trail. Walk or cycle along aquatic paths from Aldersley Junction to Horseley Fields, and discover historic buildings and environments that you may have never known existed.
