Midlands Air Ambulance Charity are there when people need them the most, after a traumatic incident or medical emergency. The critical care paramedics and doctors on-board one of their air ambulance helicopters, or two critical care cars, swiftly bring enhanced skills to the patient.
Along with advanced medicines and medical equipment, they can perform hospital-level interventions at the incident scene, before conveying the patient to the most appropriate hospital.
This gives them the best possible chance of survival and recovery. This year marks the charity’s 30th anniversary of service. Since 1991, Midlands Air Ambulance Charity have undertaken more than 64,000 missions, rapidly reaching and treating up to 13 critically ill and injured patients every single day.
Midlands Air Ambulance Charity do not receive any Government or NHS funding for their daily missions and rely on donations from the public and local businesses to raise more than £10 million each year to remain operational.
