Closure of Sherlock Street, Birmingham

From Monday 4th February until Friday 3rd May 2019, Sherlock Street from MacDonald Street to Gooch Street will be closed to enable National Grid Gas works to be carried out. 

Closure of Hill Village Road, Mere Green

From Wednesday 2nd January until Thursday 28th February 2019, Hill Village Road in Mere Green will be closed at the junction with Holly Lane due to National Grid works taking place.

Anchor Road, Aldridge Water Main Replacement Works

Between Monday 7th January until approximately Friday 1st March 2019, Anchor Road in Aldridge between the junctions with Portland Road and Little Aston Road will be closed to southbound traffic. 

During this time work will be carried out to replace a nearby water main; the works will affect a number of services which will subsequently run via amended routes. 

Black Country Service changes from 6th January 2019

From Sunday 6th January 2019, changes will be made to several services in the Black Country. 

Change to service 36 from Monday 26th November

Due to ongoing problems navigating around parked cars on Blay Avenue, the route of service 36 in Alumwell will change from Monday 26th November 2018.

Temporary Timetable for Services 61 & 63

From Sunday 4th November, a temporary timetable will come into effect for the 61 & 63 between Birmingham and Frankley to help improve the reliability of these services. 

City centre bus stop changes for service 97 from 28th October

From 10am on Sunday 28th October, the main bus stop for the 97 in Birmingham city centre will move to a new location outside Moor Street Station. 

New Black Country Routes to Launch 28th October

From Sunday 28th October 2018, National Express West Midlands will begin running three new routes in the Black Country. 

Metro Extension - Paradise Circus & Broad Street Closures

From Sunday 2nd September 2018, construction works to extend the West Midlands Metro from Victoria Square to Centenary Square in Birmingham city centre will begin. These works are expected to last until summer 2019, and will involve the closure of Paradise Circus, with some sections of Broad Street and Suffolk Street Queensway also closed to traffic.
